Copyright - The Digital Economy Bill

Seriously though, who thinks up this stuff???!!

As if the 'industry' isn't struggling enough!
Rather than me listing everything here, follow the link below to read about this, not long left before it comes about.

What can be done about it?
Realistically - probably nothing!
We all know how it works...unfortunately.

However, you could send a letter to your MP to get him/her to vote against the bill....you never know?

Example of letter to send to your MP...cut n' paste and change as required.

How to find your MP...

Hopefully they may see common sense (maybe even apply some?)
Worth a try.

all the government wants is an obese nation, anaethetised by alcopops and sham TV. Whilst its head is in the trough as each new bill brings a economic interest to its members.

We will be in our matalan clothing on the internet, dumbed down and belligerent.

Do they really care about the rights of its workers, the scant regard which it places on the lives of its own soldiers should be the litmus test on culpability.

We will not have the right to free expression any longer.

UPDATE: I sent a letter concerning the Digital Economy Bill to my local MP - Dr Ashok Kumar, MP for Middlesbrough South & East Cleveland and have received a reply within a week of sending it to him! He has subsequently written to the Minister at the Business Department responsible for regulatory issues in the bill, Mr Stephen Timms MP, asking for his comment.

Fast response, which is good, will have to see where it goes when it reaches London!??
